Our Story

Burger's Farm Market

We are a family owned and operated farm since 1889. 5 generations have farmed our land with the birth of Lydia (2016) and Leo (2019) starting the 6th generation. We are dedicated to giving back to our community by keeping everything affordable and family friendly. We offer no cost educational tours to our local school districts and daycare centers as well as no cost entry to our pumpkin patch, hayride, and pumpkin field. Here at Burger's Farm we grow specialty crops for many ethnic backgrounds - giving them a taste of "home."

We have a small petting zoo in our fall season which includes baby calves and baby chicks. We also have food and ice cream vendors on the weekends during October.

Tips and Tricks for the "Pick Your Own"

We always recommend checking the weather and dressing accordingly. Old shoes/boots are best for walking in the dirt. We also recommend bringing or wearing sunscreen or wearing a hat - the fields are under direct sunlight. We have drinks for sale or bring your own from home but always stay hydrated with water when in the sun for long durations!

BLUEBERRIES - If you decide to come pick your own blueberries we always have containers for you to pick in and we will transfer them to a bag when you are finished, However, We recommend bringing an airtight container that you can pick directly into so you can avoid any spills or squishing on the car ride home! We also recommend bringing or wearing sunscreen or wearing a hat - the fields are under direct sunlight. Tomatoes - When coming to pick tomatoes there are a few things you should know. Tomatoes are very delicate! We have boxes available but If you are bringing your own boxes or containers the more shallow the better. Buckets don't make for good tomato picking because the ones on the bottom get squished from the weight of the top ones. Unless you are preparing them as soon as you get home, squished/cracked tomatoes wont hold long before they will spoil. Bags aren't good for picking into for the same reason plus they get bruised easier when the bag gets bumped around while walking and in the car ride home. The bags also sweat making the produce get too hot without airflow. We also recommend bringing or wearing sunscreen or wearing a hat - the fields are under direct sunlight. Peppers - We have bags available but you are welcome to bring your own to pick in! We also recommend bringing or wearing sunscreen or wearing a hat - the fields are under direct sunlight. Eggplant - If you plan to pick eggplant make sure to bring a pair of good garden clippers or a very sharp pair of scissors - a knife isn't as effective as clippers or scissors. They have tiny little thorns so take extra caution when handling eggplant. We also recommend bringing or wearing sunscreen or wearing a hat - the fields are under direct sunlight.
